Odíhg Qawj̼ù (/qaw/ /j̼ʊ/ [female] [orange]) is a subtropical Large Town located in the Gesiēinsu Region of the Tetbur Commune.

The name Odíhg Qawj̼ù is derived from the Tauric language, as Odíhg Qawj̼ù was founded by Crypcata Cox, who was culturaly Tauric.

Climate

Odíhg Qawj̼ù has a yearly average temperature of 27°C (80°F), with its average temperature during the summer being a warm 30°C (86°F) and its average temperature during the winter being a pleasant 24°C (75°F). Odíhg Qawj̼ù receives an average of 285 cm/y (112 in/y) of precipitation, most of which comes in the form of rain during the summer. Odíhg Qawj̼ù covers an area of nearly 6 km2 (2 mi2), and an average elevation of 1558 m (5111 ft) above sea level.

Overview

Odíhg Qawj̼ù was founded durring the late 10th century, by Crypcata Cox. The establishment of Odíhg Qawj̼ù was plagued by a lack of willing colonists. After attempts to pay people to resettle failed Crypcata Cox struck deals with nearby nations and communities to establish Odíhg Qawj̼ù as a prison colony.

Odíhg Qawj̼ù was built using the conventions of Tauric durring the late 10th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Odíhg Qawj̼ù is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature masoned stone construction which prominantly features pointed arches, pointed ribbed vault cielings, flying buttress', and window tracery all of which share a simmilar gemoetetic patern halfway between organic and inorganic in design formaing a very distinct aesthetically integrated style. BUildings tend to reach for the havens, and more expencive homes are easily identified by their floor count as well as the addition of decorative features intigrated into the building's design such as statues, gargoyals, and embelished joinery.

Odíhg Qawj̼ù is buildings are arranged arrounded a highly ordered system of spacious paverstone streets which form triangular paterns, allowing the incides of the octagons to be common grounds for the buildings on the edges, be it for parkland, yardspace, plazas, or markets. The town has a defencive wall made from large clay bricks. The wall is constructed to the exact specifications of millitary fortifications, but the nature of its clay brick construction leaves it vulnerable to even outdated siege equipment. That said, the town is well defended against anything short of an army. Odíhg Qawj̼ù's brittle defences are suffering from significent damage, so much so that examples can be pointed to no matter which section one might have within their line of site, and most of which render sections inoperable at present.

Odíhg Qawj̼ù has a very calm atmosphere. People can be seen relaxing, scocilizing, and going about all manner of business other than the daily grind. Men, women, children, all can be seen enjoying life in a laid-back way in the many parks which line Odíhg Qawj̼ù’s streets. In spite of this, quite a few people can be seen reading and the town has an abundance of libraries. It’s quite clear the community values education.

Odíhg Qawj̼ù has an Office of Civil Groundskeeping, which works to enforce local ordinances relating to the construction and upkeep up of all plant life, water features, and other natural decorations within Odíhg Qawj̼ù. Odíhg Qawj̼ù has a Parks and Recreation Department, which is responsible for the construction, management, and usage rights for all of its parks and parklands. They are not to be confused with the Office of Civil Groundskeeping as they do not hold authority over nor responsibility for Odíhg Qawj̼ù's natural decorations nor waterways.

Odíhg Qawj̼ù has a public schooling program overseen by the Hall of Sages who has the responsibility of ensuring access to affordable high-quality education in all basic classes (Reading, Writing, Mathmatics, General Sciences, General Arcana, and Social Education) is made available to all citizens.

Cultural Notes

Odíhg Qawj̼ù's chapel was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is based upon new and innovative technologies of construction and the idea that form should follow function. It was an embrace of minimalism and a rejection of ornament. The style became characterized by an emphasis on volume, asymmetrical compositions, and minimal ornamentation..

The Sandman near Odíhg Qawj̼ù are known to be quite timid.

Odíhg Qawj̼ù's citizens partake in a curious ritual relating to their local kami. It takes place in summer and involves gestures to channel Necromancy energies of tier 1 via oath swearing.

The plague might be the product of an ancient curse, the results of long lost toxic remains, or an unavoidable byproduct of whatever industry or purpose justifies the city. It’s probably not overly contagious, but visitors may be in some peril all the same.

In time immemorial, reportedly some time during the late 2nd century was ravaged by a deadly sickness. was the epicenter of the disaster, but Odíhg Qawj̼ù suffered the most. Odíhg Qawj̼ù lost 226 people, 240 livestock, and 88 buildings in the disaster.. The disaster is spoken of in hushed whispers as the Wrath of Grief.
